چکیده
bony hard to palpate which later becomes rubbery and fluctuant.5,6 Radiographically, most radicular cysts appear as round or pear shaped unilocular radiolucent lesion in the periapical region. The cyst may displace adjacent teeth or cause mild root resorption and can even cause nerve compression. The treatment options for radicular cyst can be conventional nonsurgical root canal therapy when lesion is localized or surgical treatment such as enucleation, marsupialization, or decompression when the lesion is large.7 This case report presents the histopathological analysis and the treatment plan of an infected radicular cyst.

Glandular Odontogenic Cyst Associated with Impacted Tooth: A Case Report
Glandular odontogenic cyst (GOC) is an uncommon developmental cyst. It accounts for 0.012% to 1.3% of all the jaw cysts; its prevalence is 0.17%. It was described by Gardner et al. in 1988 as a distinct entity. GOC has a slight predilection for mandible and affect more commonly in the middle-aged patients. Radiographic and clinical features of this cyst are not pathognomonic or specific. Only t...
متن کاملComparison of TNF-α and TGF-β1 level in radicular cyst and odontogenic keratocyst fluid and its association with histopathological findings
Background: TNF-α is a multifunctional proinflammatory cytokine and TGF-β1 is a secretory protein controlling epithelial proliferation and differentiation. Keratocyst presents an aggressive behavior and a growth mechanism different from that of radicular cyst. Aim: In this line, the present study aimed at evaluating TNF-α and TGF-β1 level and its association with histopath...

AIM To report a rare case of large radicular cyst-associated deciduous tooth and to discuss the importance of cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) in diagnosing the condition. BACKGROUND Radicular cyst is the most common cyst affecting the permanent teeth, but its occurrence in deciduous teeth is rare. Most of the radicular cysts are asymptomatic and are discovered accidentally when radiograp...

متن کاملA clinical report demonstrating the significance of distinguishing a nasopalatine duct cyst from a radicular cyst.
Endodontic diagnosis is challenging and depends on the organisation of information from the patient history, clinical examination and analysis of the pulp, radiographic and histopathological assessment. A 35-year-old man was endodontically treated for radiolucency in relation to the roots of maxillary central incisors as it was a provisionally diagnosed case of radicular cyst. Since the palatal...
